The Pushkin Collection: Svetlana & Natalia Faberge-Style Enameled Egg

These exquisitely enameled eggs are skillfully rendered in the style made famous by Carl Fabergé, the imperial jeweler for Russian nobility. A wax sculpture is made and cast in metal alloy using the traditional “lost wax” method. Then, brilliant enamel is added inside and out while faux jewels and a tiny pearled crown is set in place, giving this quality work of art its rich ornamentation. Tiny magnets secure the lid of these treasure.
